Lygia Clark was a Brazilian Artist best known for her painting and illustration work. Most of her works showing the relationship between the art and object as well as the sculpture performance. This following image name called "Sensorial Hoods" as you can see, a person is worn this special bags that have holes for eyes over the head. In my opinion, this person wants to hide his/her emotions and traumas covering by the mask so that other people wont able to see. This artwork has inspired me to develop the idea of both the mask and the feelings of human. This is because, once you cover your face, the other person is not able to see opposites facial expressions.

This research is one of my favourite. This is because it is visualizes the idea of out-of-body with the actual size of body parts. It has inspired me to think about performance as well as photography. Since the project is called between us and stuff and also the performance, I was able to performance with the sculpture, objects, and etc. As you can see the images above, artist used plaster and that I want to use it as materials, and also certain parts of the body and that also show the details of the body parts. For these reasons, he has encouraged me with the materials, and the concept of his work discovers and shapes oneself.
Paradox of Praxis I (Sometimes Doing Something Leads to Nothing) by Francis Alÿs
John Angus Chamberlain was an American sculptor. Chamberlain is best known for creating various sculptures from collecting old motor cars (some parts of) that bring very abstract style of three dimensions. The first thing that came to my mind was "Abstract".The way that he was creating the artworks were based on using various parts from the different kind of automobiles and crazy colours were caught my attention. Be specific, he was creating three dimensions from using parts of the automobiles and the colours that he used was giving me the sense of colour diverse. His works has inspired me to think I am able to use such a range of materials as well as, giving me the sense of using abstract kind of work. This is because I am very interested in abstract and few of my works are based on abstract. It was great knowing him and his works.

For the X-Mas project, the 3D class given, after researching, I decided to look around some sites near where I live (Finsbury Park). This is because I thought this is one of the greatest source to get some ideas of the context of a location. Also, since I am living in Finsbury Park for 4 months already, so it is easier to look around which is where, which location could be the inspiration.
For this research, I like it and this made me interesting because there are holes, are actually the package of food/object. Also, I was interested in collecting circular shapes from the last project.

Richard Wentworth is a British artist. I have seen his artworks from the project brief and it has encouraged me to study in depth of his "Making Do and Getting By". The two images above are included in the series. There are several reasons why the works has inspired me. Firstly, I really enjoy of the materials he used and other found elements do not match together. They look uneven, the discrepancy but in the end, tell me that they go well pretty much. Secondly, photographic skills was caught my eyes because I want to do a project by take lots of photos, edit the colours. To add that, it is able to see that he documents photos of what he sees, does, and everything. I think this is one of the greatest learning and it is essential. Last but not least, by incorporating, manipulating, and transforming the ready-made objects, works of art, it definitely shows he understands the object well and the concept of the idea.

PARK PROJECT
"Park", the last part of the part 2 project. We will show the works within the grounds of Waterloo Park and for 3D students, I, have to show work in external spaces in various locations around the park.Since the park is huge, the class is able to use the space as much as we want and also, we can explore the spaces with the sculptures. For me, I think this is one of the greatest opportunity to work in the public space and enhance my abilities of making and approaching the ideas through the project.
Preparatory work: Analyse two works from the above, asking:
"Escape (My Family History)" by Li JinHu
What prior historic research was done by the artist to produce their outcomes?
For Li Jinghu, he was inspired by his personal experience: growing up in the city of Dongguan, on the boarder between Mainland China and Hong Kong.
What prior technical and material research was undertaken?
He considered exposed his own experience back in day. He chosen the two chain link fences and make them to stand opposites one another on a plain of grass. This is because the chosen materials used to represent that he was grown up on the border between two countries. Also, symbolise of the the geopolitical anxiety of border controls and illegal immigration through the works.
If taken away from the site, how might the works change? Would they even make sense or be possible?
Although if the site and research is taken, he could still think them because it is from his own experiences and still be the same.
Li JinHu is an artist, who built an installation, escape. The work inspired by Li’s personal experience of growing up in the city of Dongguan, on the border between Mainland China and Hong Kong. According to Li, there are two particular materials that he used, two chain-link fences - universal symbols of restraint and division - standing opposite one another on a level pain of grass. Also, each fence was placed and set on the ground between them. I think the title is giving a message to the people (national borders). This work is one of my favourite, this is because both the title and the installation match very well together. Also, he used the topic as his personally life when he was growing up in the border between Mainland China and Hong Kong. Therefore, I was quite familiar with the materials as seen because, in Korea there is a 38th parallel due to the Korean war and have seen many of them. This research has inspired me, I will be researching more in depth about an installation that related to the Korea's history or furthermore.

When I saw the "Seven Magic Mountains" for the first time, I was shocked and explored more in depth. This is because the work looks a little bit simple from the far but it was not the simple actually. The reason why I was impressed was because the location where the sculptures placed and colours that the artist used. For the location, it looks like a place no human being so it was even more suits better. On the other hand the colours was very bright and colourful that even more stand out and catch peoples attention. I would like to say this work is such a successful and one of my favourite research so far because I always wanted to do work that is such a large-scale in the external spaces.
While I was researching about the seven magic mountains by Rondinone, the Korean Dolmen sites came to my mind. This is because both the works concept of the sculpture was "rock" so that I found from the Korean cultural heritages pages. Both of them have the similar materials. I think this sculpture can be both the cultural and sculptural because as I said earlier, It is one of the Korean cultural heritages and also, how it looks like two small holding rocks underneath the big flat rock and this was made in earlier days (4000–3000 BC).

While I was researching about the next coming up project, Park, I found several interesting works on the Internet. This work is one of them. It is work done by Isabelle Bronte. It looks like made by some wooden sticks, papers, which I was familiar with. I was imagining this sculpture in the park, however, I think this work will look amazing in the ground, not in the green park. This is because, the sculpture is not so thick, as well as not big scaled. I do like the idea, the ida of using the natural sources (wood stick, paper made by trees).
One of my favourite research so far. There several reasons why I like this sculpture is. First of all, as you can see, there are many kinds of facial expressions. When I first saw this work, it reminisce me of Cragg's sculpture, "We" because both of the works based on the facial expressions and was familiar to see for me.
There are all different faces. Secondly, it looks like it is made by wood, carving knife. It does not look perfect, either or neat. However, I could tell that someone tried hard to carve the each face. It is very vintage, and abstract. Last but not least, there are some spaces between the faces, I just do like that I could see through the other side of it. I would like to do a sculpture like "Many Many".
This work caught my attention while I was researching numerous artists about the park project. This is because it was the indoor spaces work. For this work, the visitors have to see through the hexagonal tube so they will understand what is happening. This is because there is an effect obtained by the reflection of light in six mirrors that form hexagonal tube and also it is able to see the nature out of the gallery space. For me, I really like the materials the artists used because as you can see the images above, the viewers able to see the reflections effects of six mirrors.

One of my idea was creating a wall/barrier in the middle of the Waterlow Park. When I was walking back to my house, I have found really cool wall and this was what I wanted to build like. Also, I do like the little fences on top of it. I think documenting what I see is able to improve my ideas.
Preparatory work: Analyse two works from the above, asking:
X by Victor Timofeev
What prior historic research was done by the artist to produce their outcomes?
He researched the form of X is fitting of geometric archetypes such as cube and square.
What prior technical and material research was undertaken?
He definitely researched about the shape; geometric archetypes like a cube and square and also, cutting the whole form into small variations in size and cut of the top of the structure..
If taken away from the site, how might the works change? Would they even make sense or be possible?
If he did not use the site, the shape of the sculpture have looked differently.

For this artwork, it was interesting to see. Firstly, I do like the conceptual nature of architectural and the elements. The material is reflecting surfaces about the landscape and able to see the plants and natural sources through it. Secondly, the result of the installation was cool. It seem confusing as well as, curious about how did he build and what was the inspiration. For me, I think the material and the location was the strongest point of his works. I should consider using the mirror.

While I was researching about different kinds of cage. This is because, for the park project, I decided creating a structure like a cage and then install fake dummy CCTV cameras on the top. This research has inspired me creating a cage like this. It was great in both visually and size.
It is an artwork and it is kind of performance work. The dance was performed on the clotheslines that were strung with old clothes. It was caught my eyes because as you can see, the dancers stretched their bodies upside down, lowering into the clothings. I personally think that interesting to see the performances and creative movements that pushes themselves with the clothes that are not their sizes. I have learnt that I could connect with something with movements that I do in daily life.

I have different kinds of materials and one of the medium is a kitchen sieve but without the scrims. To work on this material, I wanted to make a sculpture that is related to the handles. While I was researching artworks of handles, I have got " 100 things with handles" by Simon Lewandowski. As it said, there are 100 objects that have handles with. It was connected to the last part of project; collection as well as, intriguing to see wide range of mediums in one picture. It has inspired me to collect several objects have handles with and has engaged me to think what do I do with different handles.

I have researched about Kula (Kula exchange, ring, and jewelry). The kula necklaces and bracelets are craft objects that represent enormous cultural and political value within this system. While I was researching about Kula, it has inspired me to research in depth of creating accessories that relates to both the cultural and political. This is because I am particularly to delve about diverse communities. So this is why I wanted to explore with other cultural and traditions. If I were experimented something about Kula, I'd like to make different kind of accessories that correlate to my cultural, Korean.

When I first saw the artwork on lisson gallery website, I was freaked out however, it caught my attention. The reason why I was freaked out is because as you can see, there are so many faces on one sculpture, and they are all the same facial expressions. However, I asked myself what materials did Cragg use and what was his inspiration. I like the weirdness as well as, his concept, unique.
During the self-directed study time, I was also using this research for making more 3D works. As I said earlier, it looked weird as well as interesting because the facial expressions are the same. I will probably use facial expressions into my 3D works Karen given me.

Hanbok is the Korean traditional clothes and it is characterised by vibrant colours and has not included pockets. It was interesting to research about Hanbok this is because it is one of my culture and I am very familiar with it. While I was researching about cultural, traditional, and political, I wanted to make a piece that relates to my cultural. This is because I think it is the best way to make something and improving that I am very well known about. This research has inspired me to consider collecting photos of Korean traditional clothes, accessories, and performances.

" Japanese Artist: Chie Hitotsuyama Tightly Rolls Newspaper To Create Incredibly Realistic Animal Sculptures " While I was researching about sculptures made by all kinds of unusual things, I found this interesting artwork on the Internet. It reminiscents me of animal sculptures made by newspaper. For most of people, newspapers for reading the daily information however, but for this artist, she used as an amazing material. Hitotsuyama makes by rolling, and twisting of newspaper and as you can see the images above, the details of the sculpture is surprising me. I think it was an awesome work because she uses a material that we barely care after reading the articles. Also, as I mentioned before, whenever I make artworks, I always try to think what kind of materials I will use. This reason why the materials important and could be the biggest impact of the final piece of work.
For me, I thought I found the bus stop very interesting space to work with so I was exploring the space. Normally, the bus stops always are the same. I wanted to make a change from this project.
In 2015, I spent my holidays in Jeju island, in Korea. My family and I have been to this kind of crazy maze gardens made by the nature. I thought this could be one of the idea of this project, Park. This is because, it was located in the park, as well as made by the green sources(trees, leaves). However, I could see several difficulties. Firstly, I won't have the large scale same as the image. Secondly, I might not able to complete the work on given time.

Few years ago, I was dreaming of creating any figure in anywhere near where I live. However, I did not have enough background research, and information where to build for. Fortunately, the next project is called "Park", which 3D students will be creating sculptures that related to the park and also, presenting my works in the park. The above image is the one of my idea that I wanted to build last time. The reason why I wanted to create a figure is because when I was young, there were several figures (people, animals) near where I live and it was interesting to see. This made me building some small sculptures the I was kid. Time has past. For now, I would like to create something that I could borrow some natural source, background, use the photography.

This is the place where I will be presenting my installation in three weeks. It is near by LUX. The reason why I chose this place is because, the space was not big as much as the other spaces of the Waterlow Park and it looks pretty small and cosy. Also, I assumed that people (the viewers) see 4D students works, and they can visit down afterwards.
Pingyuan is an artist who works with a range of different mediums such as video, text, installation, painting and performance. According to the artist, he made a ghost story that occurs at CASS Sculpture Foundation. The story is that a young man finds himself lost in the groups where he is trapped overnight and sees all kinds of strange and horrifying things. I really enjoyed about his concept of the work because he was created the story first and then, started to make the performance sculpture. I also like about the title and descriptions that is written on the next to the car. This is because the audience may not understand what the work is about. This research has inspired me that give a text, a little bit of informations of your work next to the sculpture might help the audience in better way and the way the artist wanted appeal them.
I was researching about artworks that is related to both the CCTV and government. Eventually, I found an interesting work name called "Surveillance Camera: Marble" by a Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei. He is very open for the social criticism and free expressions ahout both in China and Internationally.
The artwork was based on what happened to him while he was in the jail. The reason why he went to jail is because he was just being free expressions about his own country and the government. While he was in the jail, he thought people and literally everyone watched him every single minute which made him creating this work, "Marble". I was amazed by his works and details. This is because it was quite similar to my Park project work. For mine, it is how the government always watch (not directly) people and care about each and every single one. (Also, how the North Korea's government watch people and do not let them to get away from them).

I visited Monika Soswska's exhibition in London and this artwork is one of my favourite so far. This is because I was amazed by she bended the material very well.
I found this cage-structure on my way home and looks similar to the one that I am creating one in the work shop. If I decided my structure look like a cylinder, it would look like the following image.
This figure was captivated me because it looks like a human as well as a bird. However, it is actually a form of woman inclining forwards with her arms outstretched back. The reason why I thought this is like the combination of a bird and human is because the figure has the wings so it reminds me of a sense of freedom and also, independency. Therefore, this figure has inspired me to develop the ideas of posture. This is because while I was researching, I found that depending on postures, we might get different perspectives.

Among many other materials. I decided to use CD. I wanted to explore the found material because it had colours that I never worked with that particular colour before. While I was researching about artworks that made by CD and I found this interesting work. It was captivated because, this is the kind of the way that I wanted to explore with the found material and make it as 3D. Also, I'd like to break it down and make as shattered and combining other materials that I have gotten. The CD disk was able to see a little of myself throughout so I wanted to develop more in uses of this material.

John Bock is a German artist and he is a multi-media artist because he feely works with music, film, architecture and mutually combines and recycles the objects then produce to the various medias. As you can see above the picture, he has his own style to express his ideas by incorporated variety medias so this is making his artworks even more overwhelming and outstanding. Also, I could tell that he is very open to work in different ways such as working in films, photographies, sculptures and so on. His artworks have captivated me that are related to human bodies, which the current project is about. This is because, he is showing works that we could never thought about for example, I am able to understand the first image that he is helped by this women. For these reasons, his works have inspired me to collect medias that hardly seeing in works and also developed my idea that I could always work with most of the medias.

Tony Cragg is one of the world's forest sculptors. He is one of the artist that push the relationship between the material and people together. As you can see the artworks above, there are different kinds of materials that he has been utilised. Also, I was ale to notice that there are no limits of the materials which has inspired me. He is one of the icon that any material can be used as an artwork and so on.
For the "Harvest" by Tony Cragg, there are several points that has captivated my attention. Firstly, as I said before, I like the artist uses many kinds of materials which made me broaden perspectives of incorporating unconventional materials. Secondly, it was colourful and even the materials on the floor. For me, the sources on the floor did not appear like used materials. I think this idea could be one of part of his work because some of the audiences may think they are trash/ or work that he was failed during the process. Last but not least, it was interesting to face different actions of human. There are more works that is similar to the "Harvest".

Wile I was researching, Richard Deacon's artworks has inspired me because most of his works constructed with everyday materials such as clay, leather, and that reminds of me collecting materials around me and curved lines that he used was captivated me. He has an extraordinary capability of constructing and creating the materials combined together well.
This work has allowed me to try connecting two different kind of wires together and make lock itselves. However, the wires that I experimented was not strong enough than I thought but it was still one of the source that I was inspiration with.

I have been to "everything at once" at 180 strand(exhibition) last time. It was one of the sculptures. I think this is one of my favourite sculpture from the exhibition. There are several reasons, first of all, the size was large scaled so it was even more intriguing to see the installation. Secondly, as you can see the image above, you may feel that there is something going on inside of middle part of installation, however, once you look into, it is blackout, cannot see anything. It was kind of trick but I still liked it. Last but not least, I really like the combination of two colours. This installation has inspired me to think making a large scale size of sculpture and also, encouraged me making people to try (walking and seeing inside the hat).
Exhibition visited: Everything at once - 180 xstrand
This is not really a sculpture. However, I thought it could help and develop the idea of using the wine bottle as human bodies. This is because the figure of wine bottle is seen quite similar to the human bodies shape. For these reasons, I decided making other work that is made by wine bottle.

Kurt Schwitters is a German artist. I enjoyed his idea of reconstruction of the room. The way of creating unevenly, not neat at all, is giving me that it is not always have to be perfect. Alos, I do like that the ceiling was based on one colour, white, most of the installation was white as well.
It is one of the fascinating work I've ever seen. I do really like that Coffin used the jeans and put top of the surface of the three. It was very special because none of people have done that crazy idea. Also, I do like about he used jeans as the materials when there are two thick branches. For me, it looks like the jeans trying to keep the trees warm in any weather.
This is also one of the Coffins work, "Untitled". This is one of the idea what I want to do for the "Park" project. This is because I was considering making shadows, sculptures that can have shadows, under the trees so that could able to give nice and cool for the people whoever in the park. Also, the reason why the sculptures look like shadows is because of the colours mostly. I do like the idea of having many characters, (sculpture figures in many areas in one place).

This research was fascinating! The following image, there's a huge rhinoceros is covered by the sand. I do like the specific details of rhinoceros because the wrinkles, the eyes look very real. Also, the scale is profound. Therefore, the sculpture is located in the right position, so it matches very well together. For me, I think building a what kind of sculpture is important as well as, the location being.

One of my favourite research, "You blew me away". There are several reasons. First of all, I do like the materials that Hardy used because there are so many things going on in just one sculpture. I could say they are all incorporated different kinds of materials such as metals, steels and so on. Secondly, I do like the colours of mediums are the same. This is because not all the mediums have the same colours but, for me I felt that making them in just one colour is trying to tell a story such as a women just got a divorce, or just broken up with her lover.. Both the sculpture and title match very well together. It looks like a women as a whole, the mediums are flying away because of the weather, windy.

Laura Owens is an American artist and this research has inspired me to consider making dominos in the middle of the park. This is because as you can see the image above, it reminds me of a large scale arrangement of dominos. It was also interesting to see the words that is continue and horizontal.

Wei is a Chinese multidisciplinary installation artist. The work form from the curved was interesting to be seen in the space. The curved seems very well work done and also the materials that he used were the mosaic walls that found in the animal encloses of the Beijing Zoo.
The installation was captivating because itself and displaying in the space match well together. By seeing the work, I was able to understand that his concept of the work is about the natural environment. The reason why I think this way is because as you can see, the materials(tiles) on the surface of the wall looked about the natural habitat of the environment. Therefore, there is a part that has holes. I think he meant the audience to see through the environments behind the wall. Again, I do like the idea of habitat environemnt of his work as well as, the materials that he chosen. I would like to work with materials that I have not used before.
